EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR / CHAIR / FOUNDER
As head of the Board of Directors and founder, Philippe oversees the execution of all our operations by providing direction and exercising control over charitable resources and the coordination of directors in their areas of responsibility. Philippe was born and raised in Granby, Quebec, a French province of Canada. In 1988, Philippe joined the Canadian Armed Forces as an Air Force Officer, and served Canada for over 26 years, first as an Air Navigator onboard Canada’s Long-Range Patrol Aircraft CP-140 Aurora, then as an Air Logistics Officer. He graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce in Entrepreneurial Management from Royal Roads University (Victoria, BC, Canada), and received his Master's Certificate in Project Management from the University of Victoria. Philippe resides in Canada; however, he spends 3-4 months a year in the Philippines to effectively carry out our mission.
DIRECTOR OF COMPLIANCE AND COMMUNITY LIAISONS
Jacob oversees the direction and exercises control of organization and its resources in the Philippines in the Executive Director's absence, including ensuring our charitable resources are handled appropriately and effectively, in congruence with governmental regulation and our internal procedures. Additionally, Jacob is our community liaison representative with our beneficiaries, ensuring our programs and activities reflect their current and actual needs. Jacob graduated with a Bachelor in Electronics Engineering and is a Software Engineer by profession.
DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS
Lovely oversees and manages all communication media platforms utilized by our organization across all our operations, raising awareness related to our charitable programs and activities, ensuring aligned and strategic communications are implemented, while also responsible for attracting local commercial sponsorships. Lovely graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Finance and Management Accounting from the St-Paul University Manila, and is currently employed as a project management assistant with an engineering consultancy firm.
DIRECTOR OF DONATIONS
Cedrick oversees and manages all of our donation resources in the Philippines, including monetary, clothing, book, and toy donations. Additionally, Cedrick exercises control, on behalf of the Director of Finance - Philippines, over our expenditures related to this sphere, ensuring strict adherence to governmental regulation and our internal procedures. Cedrick is the counterpart in the Philippines to the Director of Fundraising in Canada. He graduated with a Bachelor degree in Computer Science at the Asia Pacific College, and now works as an Information Technology Project Manager at a local television network company in Manila.
DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION
Israel is responsible for both the development and management of our Play and Catch-Up (PCU) after school program's curriculum. This program, which focuses on students experiencing learning difficulties, in grade 1-11, is a calling for Israel, who finds helping children especially rewarding, and is a firm believer in his social responsibility of fostering our students into becoming kind and caring contributors of the Filipino society. Additionally, Israel is in charge of planning and carrying out the program each Sunday morning, coordinating of over 50 volunteer-teachers and managing scheduled activities. Israel graduated with a Bachelor degree in Computer Science at the College of Mary Immaculate and currently works as a search engine optimization consultant, assisting local companies with maximizing their website visibility.
DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION
Vina exercises control, on behalf of the Director of Finance - Philippines, over our expenditures related to the Play and Catch-Up after school program, ensuring strict adherence to governmental regulation and our internal procedures. She graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration, with a Major in Financial Management. Vina currently works for a Filipino publicly listed company with business interests in various fields of renewable energy and alternative fuels, and oil and gas exploration and development.
DIRECTOR OF FINANCE - CANADA
This director oversees PAC’s direction and control of its resources in Canada in the Executive Director’s (ED) absence, including ensuring PAC’s charitable resources are appropriately and effectively handled, in congruence with PAC and government policy and regulation. Additionally, the DFC performs the overarching financial accounting functions associated with all our operations, including both Canadian and Filipino accounts, and acts as our senior financial advisor to our Board of Directors (BoD) on all financial matters.
DIRECTOR OF FINANCE - PHILIPPINES
Rosario performs the financial accounting functions associated with our operations in the Philippines, including overseeing the bank accounts managed by the Directors of Donations, Educations and Sponsorships, ensuring the transparency and alignment of financial documentation and records to adhere to Canadian and Filipino Charity registration regulations. Rosario studied at the University of Nueva Caceres located in Naga, Philippines. She is a Certified Accountant Professional and owner of a variety of business ventures, including an accounting company. She is also a real estate broker.
DIRECTOR OF FUNDRAISING
Andrew oversees and manages all our fundraising initiatives in Canada, generating funds for events, activities and programs for our agenda in the Philippines. Andrew retired from the Canadian Armed Forces after over 28 years of service as a Resources Manager with solid experience in accounting, payroll and human resources, and now works as a civilian employee at the Canadian Forces Base Esquimalt.
DIRECTOR OF PROJECTS - CANADA
Stephen oversees the entire process associated with our projects in both Canada and the Philippines. He is the lead in testing pilot projects and later implementing them as PAC programs, where potential deliverables are focused on livelihood impacts and improvements; these include, but not limited to, validity, selection criteria, beneficiaries, benchmark indicators, evaluation cycles, and overall sustainability. Additionally, Stephen liaises with both the Director of Strategy and Development and Executive Director to create, implement, and modify projects as required, to suit PAC’s resources and beneficiary needs. He has a Master’s Degree in Political Science from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and holds the MRIA’s Certified Marketing Research Professional (CMRP) designation, and also the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of a Canadian public opinion research company.
DIRECTOR OF PROJECTS - PHILIPPINES
Jhem oversees the entire process associated with our projects in the Philippines. He works hand-in-hand with the Director of Projects - Canada, including in-field research, data gathering and analysis, and facilitate the operational testing of new PAC projects in the Philippines. Jhem is currently studying Industrial Engineering at the Quezon City Polytechnic University, Metro Manila, with the goal of becoming a civic engineer. His passion for helping others extends across our volunteers and beneficiaries, and also members of his own community as a Junior Barangay Chairman.
DIRECTOR OF SPONSORSHIPS
Hope oversees the development and management of our sponsorship programs, including our current Watch Baby Grow and Watch Toddler Blossom programs. She ensures our programs meet the nutritious needs necessary for consistent and appropriate growth among our children, utilizing our Growth Measurement program as a performance tool to validate the effectiveness of the products provided to the children every four weeks. Additionally, Hope liaises with parents in our communities to assess and identify at-risk children as potential beneficiaries of our programs. Hope is a nurse by profession, having graduated from the Martinez Memorial Colleges, Caloocan City, Philippines.
Cresly assists the Director of Sponsorships with the management of all sponsorships, including the recruiting and registration of new sponsors, ongoing management of sponsorship payments, and overall point of contact for all sponsors. Additionally, she processes all financial payments (donations and sponsorships) to PAC. Cresly grew up in the Philippines and volunteered extensively with PAC; however, she is now living in Victoria, Canada with her husband.
DIRECTOR OF STRATEGY & DEVELOPMENT
Justina places her attention to the strategic aspects of our organization, always looking at our current contribution to the eradication of poverty and focusing on the strategy and development of our organization to meet the needs of the future. Justina served as a Naval Logistics Officer for 13 years in the Canadian Armed Forces. Justina holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the Royal Military College of Canada (Kingston, ON, Canada) and graduated with a Master's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the Royal Roads University (Victoria, BC, Canada). She is now working towards attaining her doctorate in Social Sciences.
DIRECTOR OF VOLUNTEERS - CANADA
This position will oversee the recruiting, training and management of our volunteers in Canada. Additionally, the DVC assists Canadian directors with the generation of volunteers for specific charitable events in Canada.
DIRECTOR OF VOLUNTEERS - PHILIPPINES
Donne oversees the recruiting, training and management of all our volunteers in the Philippines. Additionally, he assists the Filipino directors with the generation of volunteers for specific charitable events. Donne graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the Philippine Christian University. He currently works for a Filipino company as a Learning and Development Officer.
